Meet Pam Dignan Dancers’ Teachers

Passion, tradition, and excellence in Highland dance for more than 45 Years

Pam Dignan

Pam, originally from Dufftown, Aberdeenshire, founded Pam Dignan Dancers more than 45 years ago. From a small class of just four pupils, she has grown the school into a thriving Highland dance community, training hundreds of dancers of all ages and abilities.

Pam’s passion for Highland dance shines through in every class. She is dedicated to helping each dancer — from wee ones to adults — feel valued, confident, and inspired. Her teaching not only develops skills, poise, and technique, but also fosters a lifelong love of traditional Scottish dance.

Beyond her Westhill school, Pam has taught annually at summer schools in St Andrews, sharing her expertise nationally. She takes pride in every pupil’s achievements, whether at local competitions, national events, or international performances, and continues to nurture generations of Highland dancers.

Tracey Campbell

Tracey has been with Pam Dignan Dancers since she was four and is now a highly respected, qualified teacher. With decades of competition experience and performances across Scotland and abroad, she brings real stage know‑how and calm, confident coaching to every class.

She specialises in choreography and technical refinement, helping dancers of all ages sharpen their technique and expressiveness. Tracey’s lessons are energetic but supportive — she pushes for progress while keeping dance fun, which makes her a favourite with pupils and parents alike.

Jacqueline MacLennan

Jacqueline started dancing with Pam Dignan Dancers at seven and hasn’t stopped since. Her performance career has taken her around the world — including Zimbabwe, Ghana, France and Italy, bringing a breadth of stage experience back to Westhill.

She’s passionate about teaching dancers of all ages and abilities, and takes real pride in helping each pupil grow. Jacqueline focuses on technique, confidence and enjoyment, supporting every dancer to improve at their own pace and to love Highland dance.
